What Is It?
Primitive reflexes are automatic movement patterns that emerge during early development and provide the foundation for future motor, sensory, emotional, and learning skills. As children grow, these reflexes are expected to gradually integrate into more mature movement patterns.
For some children, retained reflex patterns may influence posture, balance, coordination, attention, learning, emotional regulation, and everyday participation.
MNRI® is an approach that focuses on supporting the maturation and integration of reflex patterns through individualized activities and therapeutic experiences.
